Help A Reporter Out

Help A Reporter Out

Help A Reporter Out - Started by CEO & Entrepenuer Peter Shankman on Facebook, what started out as a small idea became a big one.  The concept of the email list is to allow reporters/writers looking for sources to be able to find them in one place.  A reporter signs up and sends queries to Peter Shankman, then three times daily, Monday thru Friday, Mr. Shankman emails these querries out to everyone who is subscribed to the list.

The list has grown to more than 20,000 subscribers.  The list of querries comes from everyplace, from small independant websites, to giants such as NBC Nightly News and USA Today.  It's totally free to join, and the only rule is to only send an email out to the reporter if what you have to say is relevant to the querry.

I joined up a month or so ago, and I've answered a couple of querries. I've also forwarded the list to friends and family members who might be able to answer the querry.    I think more than anything else, it's fun to see the querries that come up on the list.  I recommend checking it out and seeing if you can Help A Reporter Out!
